Ariah Park

RASF Community Futures Grant ($25,000 Question)

We were successful at winning this grant in 2011. The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Foundation (RASF) offers young people (under 35) funding for a community project that delivers strong community benefit and results in enhanced economic and social outcomes in their local area. Rowan Bromfield recognised the benefit of tourism in helping local businesses to remain viable. He partnered with Ariah Park Community Projects Inc and demonstrated the need for the establishment of a camp kitchen and improved shower and toilet facilities to attract and retain campers and caravaners to increase numbers at the camping ground, which is run by local volunteers. This has had an untold benefit of encouraging visitors to stay longer in the area, support local businesses and help Ariah Park thrive. For more information visit
